Get Paid To Live On A Greek Island And Look After 55 Cats

If you're a cat lover this should be right up your street. But let's think about it logically for a second. You might have one, two or three cats at home and they're lovely, gorgeous in fact.
They're cute, chilled, photogenic (in other words Instagrammable). They just can't do any wrong. Until they jump on your toes under the duvet as you're about to go to sleep because you did nothing more than simply move.

Or they meow until you give in and fill them with treats. They sometimes scratch your sofa just to remove a layer of their claws. I mean, c'mon - do it somewhere else mate. And what is it with cats always sleeping on top of newly washed and folded clothes?
Put it this way, we couldn't imagine having to deal with 55 of them that's for sure. But imagine the Insta potential.
And if the pros outweigh the cons for you then this job advertisement might be your calling in life. We're certainly tempted.
God's Little People Cat Rescue is offering someone a job to look after the cats in its sanctuary. Feed them, clean up after them, give them their medication. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
And the best bit - it's in Greece. Where do we sign? The cats could scratch as many sofas as they wanted for us to be overlooking the Aegean.Credit: Facebook/God's Little People Cat Rescue

And you don't have to pay rent. Well it just gets better. Are there any in London?
The sanctuary is on the Greek island of Syros and currently cares for 55 stray and feral cats.
Joan Bowell, who is originally from Denmark, has been looking after the sanctuary for eight years when she and her husband moved to the island for health reasons but she is now moving on. Why would you move on from heaven?
The position includes a 'free' semidetached home with all expenses paid and £320 ($408) a month for part-time hours, according to the Mirror.

And you have to be the right candidate, as the post explains: "From experience the job is most suitable for someone 45+ years of age, who's responsible, reliable, honest, practically inclined - and really, with a heart of gold!
"Apart from feeding the cats the cats will also need heaps of love and attention."
